Technologies we use
Back end
C# and .NET is our daily practice, in which we have up to ten years of experience. During that time, .NET has changed beyond recognition and the current direction of .NET Core makes us constantly happy. We were also quite pleased with C# and his addressing of The Billion Dollar Mistake through Nullable reference types.
C# has been our backend and frontend partner, from small applications to large ERP systems with hundreds of thousands of lines of code.
PHP is another language we have extensive experience with. Together with PHP frameworks such as Symfony, SlimAPI and Nette we have created applications of all sizes.
Front end
In the development of the frontend, we try to constantly move forward. We've already shelved jQuery and ASP.NET MVC and are now focusing primarily on React, Blazor and Angular. We have the most experience and references with Angular in the form of several enterprise level applications. Our biggest weakness is for Blazor, in which we see the future because it is written in C# and .NET which is close to us.
Infrastructure
Modern and robust solutions cannot do without quality infrastructure. We try not to blindly chase after every new "trendy" solution, instead we deepen our knowledge in proven technologies. Although we are not big fans of consumerism, the extreme rush during "Black Fridays" on the leading Czech e-shops refined our skills to perfection.
Database
We believe that the SQL database should serve primarily as a data repository and not as a space for business logic. We like the best designing the architecture of large systems and optimizing SQL queries. But the fun for us only starts with a million records. Although we know many SQL tricks, we try to keep the communication with the database as simple and efficient as possible and we solve all the logic in the application.
Hosting
Our primary focus is on the Microsoft Azure Cloud and its almost infinite set of tools. We have mastered Azure Active Directory to perfection. We try to make efficient use of our time which is why we prefer using Infrastracture as a Service. Our popular services include, for example, Application Insights, thanks to which our applications have professional monitoring and alerting.
